Chelsea fix sights on Fiorentina midfielder Adem Ljajic
CHELSEA are sizing up a summer bid for Fiorentina midfielder Adem Ljajic.
The Serbian international has had a decent season for La Viola having chipped in with eight goals in 27 Serie A appearances.
The Blues were given a timely boost when Frank Lampard signed a one-year contract extension today, but they are still in the hunt for a midfielder to make them title challengers next season.
La Viola however, are bracing themselves for the departure of their £24m rated hit man Stevan Jovetic, who has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal.
Ljajic's agent, Fali Ramadani, has been tight-lipped about where his client's future lies.
"The Ljajic contract? It expires in 2014 and I just want the best for him," Ramadani recently told Italian paper La Gazetta dello Sport.
"Some offers have come for Adem and I will speak with Fiorentina about them.
"The renewal? We'll meet at the end of the season. AC Milan and Juventus interested? I have not had any contact... I don't know anything about an interest from these club."
