Cardiff to get new training complex
CARDIFF have announced plans to move to a state-of-the-art training ground.
The Premier League new boys, who won the Championship title, will switch next door from the Vale of Glamorgan resort to the 40-acre site at Hensol, pending planning permission.
After agreeing a long-term lease, the first phase of the work begins over the summer and will include the development of five training pitches as well as goalkeeping and rehabilitation areas.
The cost of the new complex, which will provide a long-term base for the club’s professional and academy squads, is believed to be in the region of £10million, financed by Malaysian owner Vincent Tan.
