Juventus try to steal march on Arsenal by launching bid for Stevan Jovetic
JUVENTUS have tried to steal a march on Arsenal by launching their own bid for Stevan Jovetic.
The Fiorentina hit man, who has been valued at £24m has been on Arsenal's radar for a while as they look to bolster their firepower.
Arsenal have been lining up a number of striking targets and we reported yesterday that a deal in principal had been agreed for Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain.
And now it seems Serie A champions Juve have already made a formal approach for Jovetic.
Italian paper Tuttosport indicates Juve have made an offer of £18.5m which falls short of Fiorentina's valuation.
They also mention the bianconeri are willing to include Luca Marrone or Alessandro Matri in a deal.
Jovetic has helped himself to 12 goals in Serie A so far this campaign.
