Arsenal 'agree' deal for Real Madrid frontman Gonzalo Higuain
ARSENAL have already done their first bit of transfer business this summer by agreeing a deal for Gonzalo Higuain.
The Real Madrid forward had piqued the interest of Arsenal along with rival Premier League outfits Spurs, Manchester City and Liverpool.
Los Blancos are planning a revamp of the squad, and Higuain was one of the names put on the transfer list.
Arsene Wenger, who will be given a £70m transfer kitty appears to have made Higuain his first summer signing.
Spanish paper Sport reports Arsenal will stump up £18.7m for Higuain's services.
They also note that the preliminary agreement between the two clubs appears to be solid.
Despite being in and out of the first team, Higuain has a decent return having hit 16 goals in 39 appearances.
