Chelsea's David Luiz says he would welcome Wayne Rooney and Jose Mourinho arrivals
CHELSEA star David Luiz has said he would welcome the chance to team up with Wayne Rooney and Jose Mourinho next season.
Jose Mourinho's future has reached fever pitch with unrelenting speculation that he is set to swap Real Madrid with a return to Stamford Bridge.
Wayne Rooney's future has also been doing the rounds, with the striker believed to be angling for a move away from Old Trafford for the second time in three years.
With Chelsea expecting a major shake-up in the summer, Luiz said he would be very happy if Mourinho were to join in the summer.
He said: "Everybody knows the great ability that Mourinho has, having seen the great job he has done at other clubs.
"So if Mourinho comes I would be happy because he is a fantastic coach and it's because he is [seen as] the best option for the club."
Luiz who has been in excellent form for the Blues during the run-in also said it would be 'fantastic' if Wayne Rooney, who has been linked with moves to Bayern Munich and PSG, joined.
He added: "He's a fantastic player.
"I am honest whenever I speak about things in my life; if we had the opportunity for Rooney to come to Chelsea, why not? I would be happy with this because he is a fantastic player."
Luiz has a chance to lift the Europa League at the expense of his old club, Benfica, on Wednesday.
