Arsenal given further encouragement in their pursuit of Fiorentina's Stevan Jovetic
ARSENAL have been handed a further boost in their pursuit of Fiorentina hit man Stevan Jovetic.
The Montenegrin, who has been valued at £24m, has been one of the Gunners' top striking targets.
The Gunners as we reported last week, are locked in a battle with Juventus and Roma to snaffle him as they look to bolster their firepower.
Former Fiorentina midfielder Daniele Amerini has weighed in on the Jovetic saga by saying he will leave in the summer.
"He still has a contract with Fiorentina, but honestly I think it will go away," Amerini told Italian football website Tutto Mercato.
"I do not think [he is worth that much]. Undoubtedly Jovetic is an important player, but for what he has shown in recent years I do not think is worth that kind of money."
Jovetic, who has two years left to run on his contract, has struck 12 times in Serie A this season.
