Arsene Wenger rubbishes suggestions of leaving Arsenal for PSG
ARSENAL manager Arsene Wenger has denied ever discussing taking the PSG hot-seat with the French club, and insists he will at least see out the final season of his contract in North London.
Wenger had been linked with the manager's job at Paris Saint-Germain, with current head coach Carlo Ancelotti expected to be moved on in the summer.
And while PSG were reportedly upbeat about their chances of luring the Arsenal boss back to France, Wenger himself continually dismissed the rumours as pure speculation.
However, the 63-year-old has categorically denied he has ever talked to the French money-bags, and claimed he will stay at the Emirates until the end of next season at the earliest when his current contract expires.
"I have had no contact with PSG," Wenger told Al Jazeera media network beIN Sport. "Carlo Ancelotti has done a good job and I do not see why he would leave the club by viewing the quality of his work this season.
"I followed their season. They have built their success on a form of individual superiority and the collective one that they found through the Champions League. In Ligue 1, they had a quite difficult journey.
"And for my part, I have a contract with Arsenal, where I have served for 17 years and I do not see myself leaving the club like a thief and not respecting my contract."
