Tottenham suffer blow in hunt to sign German ace Patrick Herrmann
TOTTENHAM have suffered a setback in their bid to sign gifted 22-year-old winger Patrick Herrmann.
The Borussia Moenchengladbach ace was called up to the German national squad in March to face Kazakhstan and had attracted the attentions of Andre Villas-Boas.
But he today signed a one-year extension to his contract to keep him at the club until the end of the 2015-16 season.
Herrmann said: "I have been here for the last five years and during this time I have learned a lot and I want to develop further
The speedy winger has been at the German club since 2008 and has played 94 league games, scoring 16 goals.
