David Moyes 'more than happy' to help Everton with search for successor
DAVID Moyes has declared he is 'more than happy' to help Everton in finding his successor.
Moyes was confirmed as Manchester United manager yesterday and will join up with the Barclays Premier League champions on July 1.
A few names have been bandied about for the position including Roberto Martinez and Neil Lennon and Moyes has offered his help in the appointment process.
The Scot, who was Toffees boss for over a decade tried to steer clear of questions relating to the Old Trafford post he has accepted.
Moyes, who was speaking at his traditional Friday press conference, was in jovial mood and laughed heartily when asked for his thoughts on the West Ham game on Sunday.
Though Moyes maintained he did not plan to leave Goodison Park, he said he hopes the fans will give him a good send-off for his final game in charge.
He said: "I hope they react the way I first stepped in the door. If they don't I can understand because I'm a fan myself.
"If the fans don't react well I understand because you support your team.
"I will stand in the same position I always do and the big thing is we finish the season with as many points as we can."
