Arsenal end Nike sponsorship with monster £30m-a-season Puma deal
ARSENAL have agreed the most expensive kit sponsorship deal in English football with Puma set to replace Nike on a £30m-a-year five-year contract.
Puma's agreement with Arsenal is set to commence at the end of next season, bringing in £30m each campaign to the Gunners coffers for five years.
The deal trumps Liverpool's recently announced a £25m-a-year contract with American sports company Warrior for next season - that incidentally featured banned star Luis Suarez.
Manchester United have a whopping 15-year plan in place with Nike, but at £287m that falls short of both Arsenal and Liverpool each season pro rata.
The North London outfit's move will end their 20-year relationship with the American sports giant having worn Nike kits since 1994.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger could dip into some of these vast resources next season with a £70m summer transfer budget widely reported.
£25m-rated forward Stevan Jovetic could be the first arrival from Fiorentina, but the French tactician is targeting an overhaul of his Emirates squad.
Swansea defender Ashley Williams is a £10m target while Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes and QPR shot-stopper Julio Cesar have also been linked.
