Tottenham hope to say au revoir to Adebayor
Tottenham Hotspur are hoping French club Monaco take misfiring Emmanual Adebayor off their hands.
The London club, who are pushing for Champions League qualification, are understood to be ready to offload the former Arsenal striker after a disappointing season at the club.
The Togolese international has only scored three Premier League goals since joining on a permanent deal after a successful loan spell from Manchester City last season.
Adebayor, 29, spent three seasons at Monaco before joining Arsenal in 2006, and if he returns to his former club it could pave the way for Spurs to land Brazil's Leandro Damiao, 23, from Internacional, or Loic Remy, 26, from relegated Queens Park Rangers.
