Coleman happy to ring Barnet changes
FORMER Barnet mayor Brian Coleman, who has had a number of fall-outs with his local side, believes the bells should be rung to celebrate their relegation from the Football League.
Edgar Davids’ side face a new life in the Conference and a move from Underhill, their home for the last 106 years – but Coleman (right) has no sympathy.
He said: “If I had the power I would be ordering that the church bells in Barnet be rung in celebration of the relegation of Barnet FC.
The chairman (Anthony Kleanthous) claimed last week that Barnet had been ‘ushered out of the borough’. Well, now the club has been ushered out of the Football League. Openly gay, Coleman once claimed he had slept with an Arsenal player.
