Spurs tell Real Madrid to pay £63m for Gareth Bale
TOTTENHAM chairman Daniel Levy will tell Real Madrid to pay £63million if they want to sign star man Gareth Bale.
White Hart Lane chiefs will slap a €75m (£63m) price tag on their prized asset
The Spurs winger has bagged 24 goals this season and was yesterday named as the 2013 Footballer of the Year by the Football Writers' Association.
His incredible displays have attracted the attentions of Madrid, who are keen on bringing the Welshman to the Bernabeu.
But according to Spanish newspaper Marca, White Hart Lane chiefs will slap a €75m (£63m) price tag on their prized asset.
They suggest that "fierce negotiator" Levy will start talks at the €70-75m mark but add that Madrid will be "unwilling to shell out" that amount of money.
Bale was last week also named Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year by the Professional Footballers' Association.
Tottenham sit fifth in the table and are two points behind Arsenal, although they do have a game in hand.
