Arsene Wenger slams PSG rumours and reveals admiration for QPR striker Loic Remy
ARSENAL manager Arsene Wenger has blasted suggestions that he will end his near-17 year tenure at the club to join French leaders Paris Saint-Germain.
Wenger has been linked with the PSG hot-seat with current boss Carlo Ancelotti expected to depart to replace Chelsea-bound Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid.
However, Wenger has slammed rumours that he could walk out on Arsenal and join the mega-rich French club, before indicating he will bid for QPR goalscorer Loic Remy in the summer.
"I answered that question already. I respect my contracts," Wenger said at his press conference this morning ahead of the Gunners visit to relegated QPR tomorrow.
"I want to stay (on past 2014) if I do well and if I consider or the club considers that I do well, that is all.
"I want this club to do well, that is my basic feeling.
"We have gone through a period that was very sensitive, we are coming out of it now, in a much stronger position financially.
"I believe the club is in a very strong position for the future."
Wenger is anticipated to be handed a £70m summer transfer budget, with Fiorentina forward Stevan Jovetic, Hamburg goalkeeper Rene Adler and QPR's Remy among his prime targets.
And Wenger admitted his admiration for five-goal Premier League forward Remy, who is thought to be available for around £8m due to a release clause in his contract signed in January from Marseille in the event QPR went down.
"I've known him for years," said Wenger. "He is a very efficient striker."
The 26-year-old is also a target for rivals Tottenham and Liverpool.
