PSG to raise the stakes in race for Manchester City target Isco
MANCHESTER CITY could be trumped in their bid to land Malaga playmaker Isco in the summer.
Isco, who has been dubbed the La Liga outfit's 'golden boy' has been a long-standing interest for City, who are planning a major overhaul of their squad in the summer.
Chelsea were also keen on Isco, though they seemed to have distanced themselves from him, which is surprising as themselves and Malaga reportedly signed a player collaboration agreement following Lucas Piazon's successful loan spell.
But moneybags PSG have declared their intent for Isco, who has also attracted the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Football website Goal.com reveals that PSG have dispatched scouts to watch Isco in action during Malaga's 2-1 victory over Getafe in La Liga.
Isco has a £29.6m release clause written into his contract, which could be easily matched by PSG and City.
His uncertain future coincides with that of his manager Manuel Pellegrini, who is also in the frame for the City job should Roberto Mancini leave the Etihad.
