Napoli try to get ball rolling for Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko
NAPOLI have already made an early approach to try to lure away Edin Dzeko from Manchester City.
Dzeko's City future has been the subject of much conjecture, with Borussia Dortmund initially appearing to lead the chase for him.
The Bosnian has been valued at £24m, which Dortmund originally baulked at.
However, Serie A outfit Napoli have already made initial contact to check Dzeko's availability.
Italian paper Corriere dello Sport has it Napoli are bracing themselves for the departure of their 30-goal striker Edinson Cavani and have identified Dzeko as a suitable replacement.
They also mention Davide Astori was at the top of their wanted list, but weren't prepared to meet Caligari's valuation of £10m.
Dzeko has hit 13 goals in all competitions this season.
