Manchester City told by AC Milan Stephan El Shaarawy is off limits
MANCHESTER CITY have been forced to rethink their plans over a prospective bid for Stephan El Shaarawy.
The 20-year-old forward has been a mooted target for City and Arsenal recently, following his impressive displays for the Rossoneri this season.
Despite his burgeoning talent, he is still trying to forge a strong partnership with Mario Balotelli.
The Gunners are set to be given a £70m transfer kitty, and have been linked with a whole host of players including Borja Valero and Stevan Jovetic.
Although City were believed to be readying a £30m bid for El Shaarawy, they have been strictly told by Milan's president Adriano Galliani he won't be heading to the Etihad.
In an interview with IVM, he said: "Manchester City want El Shaarawy?
"It is clear that a player like Stephan has a lot of suitors but we have no intention of selling him."
El Shaarawy has bagged 18 goals in all competitions for Serie A this season.
