Manchester City identify Zlatan Ibrahimovic as back-up to Edinson Cavani
MANCHESTER CITY have a back-up option if they fail to pull off a deal for Edinson Cavani.
The Citizens have turned their attentions to PSG forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic in case they miss out on their top striking target.
Ibrahimovic, who is paid a staggering £11.5 million-a-year by the Ligue 1 giants, has been on Juventus's and AC Milan's radars.
City manager Roberto Mancini is planning a major overhaul of City's squad in the summer, with Edin Dzeko poised for the Etihad exit.
Football website Goal ascertains Mancini is a big admirer of Ibrahimovic and said he is one of the most complete strikers in the world.
They also note that City's sporting director Txiki Begiristain has already held talks over a possible move for the enigmatic Swede.
City have also been on Radamel Falcao's tail, though the Atletico Madrid frontman appears to prefer a move to Chelsea.
Ibrahimovic has scored 36 goals for club and country this campaign.
