Chelsea join forces with Malaga in signing player partnership agreement
CHELSEA have followed Arsenal's lead in signing a landmark player collaboration agreement with Malaga.
The Gunners agreed a special player partnership deal with fellow La Liga outfit Real betis earlier this month following the successful loan spell of Joel Campbell.
The Blues loaned out Lucas Piazon to Malaga in January in order to get more game time under his belt.
Chelsea are believed to be happy with Malaga's handling of Piazon's loan deal and would like to conduct business on a more regalar basis.
Reports from Spain indicate that Chelsea are willing to send more players over to La Rosaleda in the future on loan or for a small transfer fee which would include a buy-back option.
Malaga could reap the benefits of such a deal, as they continue to plan for next season despite the thereat of a Champions League ban hanging over their heads.
Furthermore, they still have outstanding debts to be paid which could trigger a firesale of players in the summer.
