Malaga move also in offing for unsettled Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz
MANCHESTER CITY striker Roque Santa Cruz has opened the door for a move to Malaga in the summer.
Santa Cruz has spent this season on loan at the La Liga outfit, after failing to get any game time at City.
We reported last week that a move to Brazilian side Botafogo is being considered, as he has already held nascent talks.
But it seems Santa Cruz is also entertaining the idea of securing a permanent move with Malaga.
"The interest does exist and I'm aware of it," Santa Cruz told Paraguayan radio station Radio La Nueva rgs.
"My agents are analysing this possibility that has appeared and there are some talks.
"It's a very big club, I'm flattered by their interest. It's always important to be wanted by a club of such size.
"I am also having conversations with Malaga, but I am not going to renew my contract with Manchester City. I'll be a free agent."
Santa Cruz has netted seven times in all competitions for Malaga this campaign.
