Bayern Munich to rival Arsenal for Julian Draxler
ARSENAL look set to be joined by Bayern Munich in their pursuit of Julian Draxler.
The 19-year-old is one of the most exciting emerging talents in the game and has caught the attention of a cluster of top clubs with his performances for Schalke.
Arsenal scouts have already run the rule over Draxler, and Bayern will now cast an eye over him in the last few weeks of the season.
The Gunners missed out on Mario Gotze, as Bayern activated his £32m release clause.
There are growing fears that Bayern will continue to cherry pick the cream of the crop, such is their financial largesse.
Draxler's team-mate Christoph Metzelder said: "If the development of Julian Draxler continues, Bayern Munich will automatically become a top of discussion at some point."
Draxler has chipped in with nine goals in 35 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit this term.
