Arsenal and Spurs target Younes Belhanda given green light for Premier League move
ARSENAL and Spurs have both been given encouragement in their bid to land Younes Belhanda.
Both clubs have been on standby for the Montpellier midfielder for a while although neither were able to broker a deal for him in the January window.
Belhanda is a versatile player and can play right across the middle of the park, which would entice Gunners manager Arsene Wenger.
Spurs in the meantime are looking for added cutting edge for next season, especially if Gareth Bale leaves White Hart Lane at the end of the season.
Montpellier have also named their price for their prized asset.
"The door is open for Younes to find a bigger club than ours," Montpellier owner Louis Nicollin told French radio station RMC.
"I don't know where yet but he wants to leave. It'll take €10-11 million though.
“He's a boy I love, but we gave him a big salary after winning the title.
"Next year, we can't do that as we don't have the Champions League.”
