Real Madrid eye up players-plus-cash deal for Tottenham star Gareth Bale
TOTTENHAM could be offered a number of Real Madrid stars this summer as the Spanish club prepare a £45m offer for Gareth Bale.
Bale is set to be the subject of heavy interest from Real at the end of the season, despite Tottenham's insistence that the winger is not for sale.
Should Andre Villas-Boas' side finish in the top four then their resolve will be strengthened, but Madrid president Florentino Perez is planning a bid even if they do.
Spurs are thought to have placed an astonishing £100m valuation on Bale, but Perez has set a £45m cash limit to spend on the Welshman.
That means the North Londoners could have their pick of Jose Mourinho's squad in a players-plus-cash deal for Bale.
Tottenham have been linked with a move for left-back Fabio Coentrao, while Madrid have also offered up Gonzalo Higuain and Angel Di Maria as possible additions.
Bale may yet shun Madrid's advances to stay at White Hart Lane, but the 23-year-old holds a long-term interest in switching to the Spanish capital.
