Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson claims Javier Hernandez is happy
MANCHESTER UNITED boss Sir Alex Ferguson believes that Javier Hernandez is happy at Old Trafford.
The Mexican has struggled for game time this season, following the arrival of Robin van Persie and the growing influence of Danny Welbeck.
Recent reports have suggested that Hernandez could be a makeweight in a potential deal involving Atletico Madrid's Radamel Falcao.
However, United rubbished the reports and Ferguson is confident that Hernandez wants to stay at the club.
In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, Ferguson said: "I hope he [Hernandez] feels he has made a contribution because we all feel he has done that.
"He has scored me 16 goals this season, his enthusiasm is always there and there is no reason to think that this isn't the place for him."
United could clinch a 20th domestic title if they beat Aston Villa tonight.
Hernandez has weighed in with 16 goals for the Red Devils this season.
