Arsenal to appeal against Olivier Giroud's red card
ARSENAL have lodged an appeal with the FA following Olivier Giroud's red card against Fulham.
The Frenchman was given a straight red in the 89th minute of Arsenal's 1-0 win at Craven Cottage for a lunge on Stanislav Manolev.
Fulham had to play the majority of the game with 10-man after Steve Sidwell went over the top of the ball during a challenge with Mikel Arteta.
If the red card is not rescinded, Giroud faces an automatic three-match suspension.
A verdict is expected to be made tomorrow afternoon.
