Chelsea register interest in Barcelona striker Alexis Sanchez
CHELSEA have become the latest club to register their interest in Barcelona striker Alexis Sanchez.
The Chilean has been on Manchester United's and Arsenal's radars in recent weeks, as he has been in and out of the Barcelona first team.
The Gunners are looking to add more firepower to their squad, as the Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski have struggled to fill the void left behind by Robin van Persie who joined Manchester United for £24m last summer.
Moreover, they have been linked with Sanchez's team-mate Alex Song, who has failed to deliver during a disappointing debut season at the Camp Nou.
Reports in Spain have surfaced that Chelsea are ready to declare their intent for Sanchez, although no figures have been disclosed with regards to how much they would offer for him.
They also suggest that Sanchez's agent will sit down with his client to mull over his future with the Catalan giants.
Chelsea may look to shift Fernando Torres, who has proved to be a blunt attacking force for the Blues this season.
Sanchez has scored five goals in all competitions for Barca this season.
