Liverpool's small steps back to glory
LIVERPOOL boss Brendan Rodgers has warned fans they will need patience because the path back to glory will be taken in steps, rather than strides.
Rodgers knows he can not match the £70million spent by today’s visitors Chelsea to put them back in the top four.
“There is not going to be a big, instant improvement unless you can throw £100m at it,” he said. “Look where Manchester City were for years and then they had a load of money thrown at it to take them so far.
“Then there was another load to take them to the top. Unless you can do that, you are just going to make marginal gains and steps. But the little steps will take you there.”
