Sheffield Wed 1 - Ipswich 1: Leroy Lita gives Owls a lifeline
SWANSEA reject Leroy Lita grabbed a point which could prove invaluable with Wednesday still unsure if they will start next season in the Championship.
Mick McCarthy’s Ipswich side, with a six-point cushion from the drop zone, are virtually clear of danger with two games to go.
I’m not interested in the table, it’s all about what we do
They snatched the lead in the 12th minute when Carlos Edwards’ throw-in should have been cleared by Lewis Buxton, but as he hesitated Jay Tabb nipped in to steer the ball beyond Chris Kirkland.
Lita popped up to level the scores on the hour.
McCarthy said: “There is no such thing as a bad away point. In terms of play it was a fair result. I’m not interested in the table, it’s all about what we do.”
