Charlton 2 - Wolves 1: Late tale of O for Wolves
A LATE winner by Jonathan Obika ensured Wolves will head into the last two games of the season anchored in the drop zone.
Kevin Doyle looked to have rescued a vital point for Wolves when his header cancelled out Dorian Dervite’s 63rd-minute opener.
It’s such a crazy league
But Obika’s late strike helped extend Charlton’s unbeaten run to six matches and condemn Wolves to a nervous season finale. Dejected Wolves boss Dean Saunders said: ‘‘It’s cruel, football, because both their goals were scrambles – so it’s sickening really.
‘‘We went into the game top of the form league over the last eight games and now we are in the bottom three. It’s such a crazy league.
‘‘But all is not lost because other results have kept us in it.’’
