Burnley 1 - Cardiff 1: Craig Conway makes history
SEAN DYCHE was in danger of being a bystander at his old pal Malky Mackay’s title party until David Edgar gave the Burnley boss his own reason to cheer.
Mackay’s Cardiff only needed a point to claim the Championship crown and were on course for all three after Craig Conway’s stylish first-half opener.
But Dyche – who was the Cardiff manager’s assistant at Watford – gained a crucial point in his battle to avoid the drop to League One when substitute Edgar headed home Kieran Trippier’s cross in stoppage time.
The Cardiff boss said: “We wanted to get the medal for winning the league. Not many people get to make history. For the players to do that makes me very proud of them.”
