Patrick Vieira hopes Samir Nasri stays at Manchester City
MANCHESTER CITY football development executive Patrick Vieira is hoping Samir Nasri won't leave the Etihad in the summer.
The playmaker's future has been the subject of mounting speculation, with reports surfacing this week that he could be heading to PSG.
City are planning a major overhaul in the summer, and Nasri along with the likes of Carlos Tevez, Micah Richards and Joleon Lescott are expected to leave.
Vieira though hopes Nasri can stay at City for some time to come.
In an interview with Radio Monte Carlo, Vieira said: "Samir could have done better. I think, he, himself, is disappointed with the level he played at for several different reasons.
"But in the end, he remains an important player for us.
"I see him almost daily. I think he has learned a lot this year. He has faced competition and, when he was not good enough, he has been taken off."
