QPR’s Chris Samba in line for shock return to former club Anzhi
QPR defender Christopher Samba is in line for a shock return to Anzhi, the club he only left in January.
The Congolese international has reportedly not settled in London since his big money move back to the Premier League and his former employers are ready to offer him a route out of the relegation threatened R’s.
The West Londoner’s £12.5million record signing has not experienced the best of times since returning to England coming in for huge criticism after a number of below-average performances.
However this has not put off Anzhi, who believe if they can match Samba’s £100,000 a week wages they can tempt the former Blackburn Rovers man back to Russia.
Samba has played nine games for QPR since joining on the last day of the January transfer window.
Harry Redknapp will hope that Samba will be fully focussed for the visit of Stoke at the weekend after insisting QPR still have a chance of survival.
