Chelsea and Manchester City target Neymar inching closer to Barcelona
CHELSEA and Manchester City have slipped behind in the race to sign Brazilian superstar Neymar.
The Santos forward's future has been swirling with rumours for the past few months, with Barcelona appearing the most likely destination.
Manchester City were also believed to be in the process of negotiating a deal for Neymar, with their director of football Txiki Begiristain travelling to London for talks.
But now it seems Barcelona are in pole position to land Neymar in the summer.
"Neymar will play at the Confederations Cup this summer and will then take a one-week holiday," a source close to the player told football site Goal.
"He will travel to Barcelona on July 9."
Neymar started for Brazil during their 2-1 friendly defeat against England at Wembley earlier this year.
