Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho fuels further speculation about Chelsea return
REAL MADRID boss Jose Mourinho has signalled his intention to leave Real Madrid in the summer, which will give Chelsea further encouragement.
Mourinho's season has been characterised by in-fighting and is believed to have alienated some of his squad, with relations between him and Sergio Ramos at breaking point.
The self-proclaimed 'Special One' has been continually courted by Chelsea, where he provided a wealth of honours before being sacked in September 2007.
And the news was revealed by Manuel Alvarez, the president of CD Canillas, during an interview with Spanish radio station La COPE.
He said: "Mourinho told us that he won't be able to give his usual technical talk to our coaching staff next season because he's not going to be here.
"If Mou leaves, it will be a big loss for Spanish football. I hope Florentino can sort it out with him."
Mourinho has also been tipped to take over the reins from Carlo Ancelotti at PSG.
Real are still on track to win their 10th European Cup.
