Andre Marriner to officiate next month's FA Cup Final
ANDRE MARRINER will officiate next month's FA Cup Final between Manchester City and Wigan at Wembley, the FA has announced.
The FA Cup is England's oldest and grandest domestic cup competition, and this will mark Marriner's third refereeing assignment at the national stadium.
Marriner refereed the 2010 Community Shield match between Manchester United and Chelsea and was also in charge for Blackpool's Championship play-off final win over Cardiff earlier that year.
He said: "It's a great honour to be asked to referee the 2013 FA Cup Final especially as it coincides with the 150th anniversary of The Football Association."
Marriner was the fourth official when Manchester City clinched the FA Cup at the expense of Stoke in 2011.
