Barnsely 0 - Charlton 6: Battered Barnsley slip up
BARNSLEY slipped back into the bottom three with a nightmare performance against Charlton.
We’re creating and taking our chances, key players are playing with confidence and pushing each other
Hopes of a fourth home win on the spin turned into their heaviest defeat of the season – and they finished with nine men as both Stephen Dawson and Tom Kennedy were sent off.
Charlton snatched the lead after four minutes when Brad Pritchard scored after Luke Steele’s fumble. After that Charlton scored at regular intervals with Johnnie Jackson, Yann Kermorgant, Callum Harriott, Salim Kerkar and Ricky Fuller on target.
Charlton boss Chris Powell said: “We’re creating and taking our chances, key players are playing with confidence and pushing each other.”
Barnsley’s David Flitcroft said: “We’ll try to galvanise a group of players who are hurting.”
