Blackburn 2 - Derby 0: Scott Dann seals massive win for Blackburn
JORDAN RHODES has kept his cool amid the chaos at Blackburn this season – and offers their best hope of staying in the Championship.
Given the situation we’re in, if we’re fourth from bottom on May 4 there will be a lot of happy people about.
His calm early penalty brought his 26th goal of the season – his 24th for Rovers – before captain Scott Dann added a second to end a 10-match run without a league victory and lift Blackburn out of the bottom three.
There is still work to do for caretaker boss Gary Bowyer and he said: “Given the situation we’re in, if we’re fourth from bottom on May 4 there will be a lot of happy people about.”
Derby manager Nigel Clough said: “We paid for our failures in both penalty areas. We’ve thrown six points away in the last eight days. That’s why we are where we are.”
