Ipswich 1 - Hull 2: Hull lifted by special K
SUPER sub Robert Koren struck with a crucial winner seven minutes from time as Hull virtually secured one of the two automatic Championship promotion spots.
We can't get carried away and we still have a job to do. But all credit to the players, we have put ourselves in a wonderful position now.’
Koren headed home from six yards – just nine minutes after entering the action.
The Tigers had taken the lead through Robbie Brady’s 29th-minute penalty, awarded after George Boyd was felled in the box by French midfielder Guirane N’Daw. Ipswich substitute Anthony Wordsworth brought them back into the game with his first goal for the club before Koren had the final say.
Hull manager Steve Bruce said: "We can't get carried away and we still have a job to do. But all credit to the players, we have put ourselves in a wonderful position now.’’
