Micah Richards becomes third Manchester City player to be handed driving ban
MICAH RICHARDS has become the third Manchester City player in the last two weeks to be hit with a six-month driving ban.
Richards' excuse was that he was having difficulties with his post
The England international failed to respond to two speeding notices sent by police and joins Carlos Tevez and Samir Nasri in having brushes with the law.
Richards admitted to two counts of failing to provide the identity of who was driving his Ferrari, which was clocked speeding in Manchester in September, although he didn't attend his case at Tameside Magistrates' Court on Friday.
Tevez and Nasri received similar punishments last week, with Tevez also ordered to carry out 250 hours of community service for driving while his license was suspended and without insurance.
Richards' excuse was that he was having difficulties with his post at the time the speeding notices were sent.
