Watford 0 - Cardiff 0: Welsh side close in on title
CARDIFF took a giant stride towards the Premier League after grinding out this precious point at promotion rivals Watford.
The Welsh side now need eight points from their last six games and, with three home games in the next week, Malky Mackay’s men will fancy their chances.
Watford are still in the hunt for the top-two – but will feel this was a missed opportunity.
The division’s leading scorers came the closest to scoring when Troy Deeney’s header was kept out by Cardiff keeper David Marshall.
Another Watford opportunity went begging when Deeney blazed over from a good position.
Cardiff’s best chance came when Aron Gunnarsson’s cross was met by Ben Turner who headed over.
