Gareth Bale injury relief
TOTTENHAM have been given a huge boost after scans revealed that Gareth Bale will be back in training within two weeks.
Bale was carried off on a stretcher after damaging his right ankle ligaments in the final minutes of the Europa League quarter-final draw against Basle on Thursday.
Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas was hopeful the injury to the club’s top scorer was not serious and the scans yesterday confirmed he will return for the run-in.
Aaron Lennon and William Gallas also had scans on knee and calf injuries and they too are expected back within a fortnight.
A Spurs statement said: “Bale, Gallas and Lennon have all commenced their treatment today and are responding positively."
