Koby Arthur signs professional contract for Birmingham
BIRMINGHAM CITY forward Koby Arthur has signed professional terms with the club.
The 17-year-old was being tracked by the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City but he resisted the temptation to join a top Premier League club.
Arthur was only spotted a little over a year ago while playing non-league football and has enjoyed a meteoric rise as he was promoted to the Blues first-team squad in recent weeks.
Lee Clark has big plans for Arthur and is delighted he will be a core part of his squad.
He told the Birmingham Mail: "I have been hugely impressed with Koby and he has now become involved with the first team group on a daily basis.
I have been hugely impressed with Koby
"He has a big future ahead of him and he fits the bills in terms of my philosophy of building a young, hungry and talented squad here at Birmingham City."
Arthur played a cameo role during Birmingham's 3-2 defeat against Wolves on Monday.
