Manchester City's Edin Dzeko considered in swap deal for Edinson Cavani
MANCHESTER CITY may swap Edin Dzeko for Napoli hit man Edinson Cavani in the summer.
Cavani has been top of City's transfer wish list for a while as he is one of the most coveted players in Europe.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis hinted last week that Cavani could leave in the summer and they could move on without him.
Cavani has enjoyed a turbulent time on and off the field and appears ripe for a new challenge.
However, Cavani has still smashed 28 goals for the Serie A outfit this season.
Italian football site Forza Italian Football states that a swap deal wouldn't be cheap for City as Cavani has a sizeable release clause.
Dzeko has been heavily linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund but it remains to be seen whether they are prepared to spend £25m on him.
Napoli could redouble their efforts to sign Leandro Damiao if they fail to pull off a deal for Dzeko.
