PSG interested in Manchester United star Wayne Rooney
MANCHESTER UNITED striker Wayne Rooney could become the latest star to join Paris Saint-Germain's French revolution.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has spent more than €250m (£214m) in transfer fees since taking up his position in May 2011 and he may be poised to move again.
Al-Khelaifi, who has overseen one of the biggest spending hauls in European football, admitted being a fan of Rooney and said: "Thankfully there is a lot of players really interested in the club, this was not the case when we bought the club.
"I think we didn't talk honestly - he is a great player - he is one of the best strikers in the world.
"I think everyone would like to have him."

Al-Khelaifi denied making any approach for the England frontman yet but hinted the high-profile spending - which has seen Zlatan Ibrahimovic and David Beckham arrive in Paris - would continue.
"We invest some money in the club, but we have to if we want to be in the top five clubs in Europe, we have to invest," he said.
Rooney was axed by Sir Alex Ferguson for Manchester United's crucial Champions League second leg tie with Real Madrid and has been linked with an exit from Old Trafford since.
