David Beckham would never rule out an England return
DAVID BECKHAM has not given up hope of playing for England again.
The former England captain, the country's most capped outfield player, last pulled on the Three Lions shirt in 2009 under Fabio Capello.
Beckham is now playing for Paris Saint-Germain but admits he would never turn down a call from his country.
Beckham told CNN World Sport said: "One of the reasons why I've never retired from the England team is because if there's ever an opportunity to play for them again, then I'm available.
"If there is any chance of me ever playing for my country again, I would never turn that down. Like I said, I'm almost 38 years old so the chances are very slight, but you never know."
Beckham signed a five-month deal with Paris Saint-Germain in January and the French giants have indicated they would love to keep him at the Parc des Princes for longer.
Club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi told French newspaper l'Equipe: "Recruiting David was one of my best decisions.
"As a man, player, ambassador, he is exceptional. It creates something in this group. Everyone loves it.
"We will talk with him. Whatever his decision, we support David.
"He is very happy in Paris. Frankly, we want to keep him with us next season."
