Nottingham Forest 2 - Brighton 2: Henri Lansbury preserves record
BRIGHTON keeper Casper Ankergren made a calamitous last-minute error as Forest snatched a late equaliser to keep Billy Davies’ unbeaten start back at the City Ground going.
The Dane let Henri Lansbury’s tame injury-time drive through his legs. Brighton boss Gus Poyet later said: “It was a poor goal. If you hit a thousand balls tomorrow he (Ankergren) will save a thousand.”
It was a poor goal.
Leonardo Ulloa’s 57th-minute strike had put Brighton ahead before sub Lewis McGugan levelled on 82 minutes. Will Buckley put the Seagulls back in front three minutes later before Lansbury brought a City Ground sellout to their feet.
Davies said: “I’m delighted with the effort and the courage shown. Even at 2-2 they still tried to win.”
