Stoke keeper Asmir Begovic happy with Man United interest
STOKE CITY goalkeeper Asmir Begovic has revealed that he is 'pleased' with Manchester United's interest in signing him.
Begovic previously insisted that he was not thinking about transfer speculation linking him with a move to Old Trafford, but now admits it is something he would be keen to entertain.
The 25-year-old shot-stopper has impressed at Stoke since signing for £3.25m from Portsmouth in 2010, and could be worth upwards of £10m if the Potters were to allow Begovic to leave having already signed Jack Butland as a replacement.
Begovic is currently on international duty with Bosnia - who he helped defeat Greece 3-1 last Friday - with reports suggesting Manchester United scouts were in attendance.
"I'm not under more pressure because United are watching me," Begovic told Bosnian media outlet Sport.ba.
"I'm glad that they do because that means I'm doing something good. It gives me more motivation to do better and better.
"I'm pleased that the big clubs are interested in me but as I have said many times - I'm happy at Stoke City because they gave me a chance do play in Premier League.
"We will see what will happen in the summer. In football you can never know 100 per cent."
Begovic has a contract at Stoke until 2016 and has also been linked with Premier League sides Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea.
