Manchester United Sir Alex Ferguson hails Swansea's Michu
MANCHESTER UNITED manager Sir Alex Ferguson has expressed his admiration for Michu, describing him as a "revelation".
Michu has been arguably one of the buys of the season, and steered the Welsh outfit to Capital One Cup glory.
Ferguson believes Swansea deserve the accolade of Team of the Year, as their tiki-taka style has blown away many teams in the Premier League.
He also joked about how cheaply Swansea were able to snap up Michu.
He told Manchester United magazine Inside United: "Swansea have been terrific. The boy Michu has been a revelation.
“To sign him for just £2million and get 20 goals out of him - what a bargain!
"I wouldn't say Swansea have been the surprise package but they've really lifted their performances."
“They also won the League Cup of course and they play really good football. I'd say they're the team of the year with Michu a real bargain buy.”
Michu has plundered 19 goals in all competitions for the Swans so far this season.
