Harry Redknapp to rival Arsenal and Spurs for Etienne Capoue if QPR stay up
QPR manager Harry Redknapp will head back to Ligue 1 and try and sign French international Etienne Capoue again in the summer, if he can keep the Hoops in the Premier League.
Redknapp had a late January bid for Capoue rejected by Toulouse, who also had to fend off interest from English clubs Arsenal and Tottenham.
Newcastle signed Capoue's team-mate Moussa Sissoko, who Redknapp also tried to bring in, which made it an impossible task to convince the French side to sell another key midfielder.
However, the former Spurs boss has revealed he will return to the south of France and try to again agree a deal for the 24-year-old, as long as he can keep QPR in the top-flight for next season.
If we manage to maintain our Premier League status he might be a good option
“I tried to sign Capoue in January," admitted Redknapp.
"I was looking for a player to control the game. It’s hard at the last minute to attract players.

Capoue has made 26 appearances for his club so far this season, scoring four goals.
