McGugan on Tiger hunt as Nottingham Forest stun Hull
A MANAGERIAL masterclass from Billy Davies made it six wins in a row for Forest as they stunned Hull.
Substitute Lewis McGugan fired in the winner six minutes from time as Steve Bruce's promotion-chasing Tigers' four-match winning run at home came to an end.
George Boyd had put Hull in front in first-half stoppage-time with a hooked finish with his back to goal.
But Darius Henderson levelled for Forest, who are unbeaten in seven games since Davies returned to the club.
"We've given ourselves a great chance of the play-offs," he said. "It was important to come in and lift the spirits."
Hull boss Steve Bruce lamented: "We've had enough chances to win two games. It was just one of those awful days when we have to take it on the chin."
